Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

We are educational consultants who train school leaders to conduct clear, consistent, and defensible internal investigations. Our approach is grounded in over 50 years of combined experience in school administration and law enforcement.

We focus on practical systems, interview techniques, and documentation strategies that help administrators handle investigations effectively and with confidence.

Our in-person training workshops are designed for groups of approximately 20–30 participants to ensure meaningful interaction and hands-on learning.

Trainings are typically held on-site at a host district or regional location. We also support multi-district or agency-hosted sessions at a predetermined site.

Since 2023, we have provided training for leaders across multiple Iowa districts and regional partners, including Grant Wood AEA, Drake University, North Polk CSD, Iowa Falls CSD, and Webster City CSD.

Yes. Each participant receives practical, ready-to-use resources as part of the training.

This includes:

  • Sample templates and tools provided digitially
  • A comprehensive digital resource guide for ongoing use
  • Materials designed for immediate customization and application

All resources are built to support consistent, efficient, and defensible investigation practices.

Our training is not focused on legal theory or compliance checklists.

We focus on the practical side of investigations—how to plan, conduct interviews, document findings, and reach clear, defensible conclusions.

The goal is to build internal capacity so administrators can respond confidently and consistently in real situations.

This training is designed for:

  • Principals and assistant principals
  • Superintendents and central office leaders
  • HR personnel and Title IX coordinators

Any administrator responsible for handling complaints, concerns, or investigations will benefit.

No. The training is designed for both new and experienced administrators.

We provide a clear framework that supports those new to investigations while strengthening the consistency and effectiveness of those with prior experience.

Most sessions are delivered as a full-day, in-person workshop lasting approximately 5 hours which includes several breaks and lunch.

We can also customize the format based on your district’s needs, including shorter sessions or multi-day formats.

Yes. We can provide follow-up consultation and support as needed.

This may include:

  • Guidance on specific situations
  • Additional training sessions
  • Ongoing support to reinforce implementation

Our training is typically priced at $300 per participant, with most sessions designed for groups of 20–30 leaders.

Additional costs may include standard travel expenses (e.g., mileage and meals), depending on the location.

We’re happy to provide a straightforward estimate based on your group and setting.
